Established
in 2000, the Robert H. Mollohan Family Charitable
Foundation, Inc. is a non-profit charitable organization of
West Virginia. The Robert H. Mollohan Family Charitable Foundation, Inc. was
created by the family of Robert Mollohan to improve the life
of persons living in West Virginia through its educational,
scientific, and charitable programs.
Through
his remarkable life, Robert H. Mollohan worked hard to
achieve his goals and visions for the young people of West
Virginia. Through
the charitable contributions and activities of the Robert H.
Mollohan Family Charitable Foundation, Inc. scholarships,
summer internships, and community grants encourage gifted
young students to plan a bright future in their native
state.

Bob
believed passionately in the value of education.
He considered it to be the vital ingredient in
bettering a person’s life, and collectively, the
lives of our West Virginia communities.
I cannot think of a more appropriate way to
reflect his ideals, and to honor his memory, than by
working to give our young men and women educational
opportunities that they might not otherwise have.
Whether
by providing scholarships, loans, internships - - or
even other offerings that we have yet to consider - -
the Robert H. Mollohan Family Charitable Foundation
will strive to support our West Virginia young people
as they pursue a quality education. We will be especially interested in programs that help them
to succeed, as West Virginia itself is beginning to,
in growth fields such as information technology and
aerospace.

Student Groups Receive Grants for Music and Leadership
Two worthy organizations received
community outreach grants in October.
The Fairmont Senior High School Polar
Bear Band Boosters, Inc. received $5,000
to match $5,000 the group had raised to
purchase new timpani drums.
