About Us

Established in 2000, the Robert H. Mollohan Family Charitable Foundation, Inc. is a non-profit charitable organization of West Virginia created by the family of Robert Mollohan to improve the life of persons living in West Virginia through its educational, scientific, and charitable programs. Through his remarkable life, Robert H. Mollohan worked hard to achieve his goals and visions for the young people of West Virginia. The Robert H. Mollohan Family Charitable Foundation, Inc.’s scholarship, internship, and community grant programs were developed to encourage gifted young students to plan a bright future in their native state. In addition, community grant programs were developed to support groups and organizations working for the betterment of their communities.

Student Programs

The Mollohan Foundation provides many opportunities for students through various scholarships and student programs. These programs provide West Virginia students with assistance for their college education. The goal of our programs is to give students an opportunity to further their education and understand the range of opportunities that are available within their home state.

Are you currently a high school or college student? Ready to get out there and start a career? It’s not always easy to figure out what you want to do for the rest of your life, and it’s not always cheap either! If you have heard about the Mollohan Foundation, you’ve probably heard a lot about our efficient student and community programs. The Robert H. Mollohan Family Charitable Foundation is a West Virginia Non-Profit Organization that prides itself on helping kids and organizations in state through scholarships, community grants, student loans and internships.

Once we receive your completed application, the Foundation will send you an email stating that we have your application on file. If you receive a scholarship, you will receive an award letter in the mail. If you have a question about the status of your application, you can always contact the Foundation at [email protected]

The scholarship money is sent directly to your school. Therefore, the money can be used for anything that is paid for through your school. For example, scholarship money can be used for tuition, books, room and board, or meal plans.
