Trinity Christian School Board Awarded Grant

Trinity Christian School is an inter-denominational institution committed to providing a life-changing education in a Christ-centered world view. The school opened in 1997 as a junior high school and is now a full school, serving students grades K-12. It opened its new campus for classes in August 26, 2004 on a 36 acre campus.

Since its inception, the band at Trinity has grown as the school has grown. Currently, a total of over 110 students participate in Trinity’s band program. A six piece Steel Drum Band was in existence until the Steel Drum Instructor left, but the school plans to reinstate the Steel Drum Band in the future. The band has an active Band Boosters that seeks to raise money each year to cover the financial needs of the band. The Band Boosters program has assisted the band in the purchase of instruments and music, attendance of band competitions, conduction of band camp, and with instrument repair. The Band Boosters also provide a stipend to a music education student from West Virginia University who assisted with their band camp.

The Mollohan Family Foundation provided a grant to the Trinity Christian School Board for the purchase of instruments for the Trinity Christian School’s Band program. These instruments will be used by the students in the band, enabling them to develop their musical talents and develop skills that will be used throughout a lifetime.
